Authentic Mexican Lava Rock – Molcajete

Homemade spices, salsa and guacamole are made best when a molcajete is used, it adds authentic and original flavors along with natural ingredients and utensils.  Molcajetes must be seasoned to perfection prior to using, this calls for preferred seasonings such as garlic, onion, cilantro, peppers whatever you wish to use.  For best results, it’s suggested to soak the molcajete in hot water before seasoning.  Once it’s ready for use, the ingredients for your homemade fixing are ready to get busy in the molcajete.  The pestle is used to grind and mix the combination of ingredients in the mortar until they are at the preferred consistency.
